Terms & Conditions

Quotations

Quotations are valid for 3 months from the date of the quotation.

Payment

A deposit of 40% is required upon confirmation of booking. The remaining 60% is payable 7 days prior to the date of the event. Note: The 40% deposit is non-refundable if booking is cancelled less than 90 days prior to the event. For bookings made less than 30 days prior to the date of the event, payment in full will be required before a cameraman will be confirmed. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or credit/debit card. Credit card payments will incur a 2% surcharge.

The Edit

By contracting our services you have purchased a "Editor's Cut" edit. The editor will use their discretion for creative and music placement decisions. NB. We do not cut out footage, we only cut down. Should you wish to have more editorial control over the edit please enquire about the additional costs.

Re-edits

Technical errors will be corrected free of charge if we are informed within 14 days after delivery. Client-requested changes to their video will be charged at the prevailing daily edit rate.

Delivery of Product

The editing process takes 8-12 weeks (dependent upon the time of year) from the date of the wedding to complete. For any film not delivered to the client within this timeframe, a free DVD PAL copy will be offered for each week it is overdue. Delivery will be delayed if the client fails to send their music choices to the company when requested as the edit will not start until these are received. Delivery will be by Recorded First Class Royal Mail and must be signed for. Alternative arrangements may be made by the client at their own expense. The delivery of highlights for web viewing or download cannot be guaranteed and is subject to technical capabilities of equipment belonging to The Filming Business and the client.

Music Clearance

There is a fee for the use of commercial music dubbed onto edited videos (see rate card). If you opt not to pay the license fee you will be asked to accept responsibility for the clearance and payment of music used and absolving The Last Word from breaking any copyright laws.

Music Choice

The client will give The Last Word their choice of music to be used in the edited video prior to the filming of the event. If such information is not given at this time, we will use the editor's choice of music and any changes made to the edited video will be charge at the daily rate.

Directions

The client will give The Last Word travel directions to the event. If such information is not given The Last Word will use The AA route planner for directions and cannot be held liable if such directions are wrong.

Copyright

The Last Word Partnership Ltd retains the copyright to all material recorded by them.

Complaints

Any complaints must be received in writing not more than 14 days after receipt of the final video.

Disclaimer

Every effort will be made to ensure our cameraman records your event in full on the day. A backup camera is carried to minimise problems caused by equipment failure. However, there are some circumstances which are beyond our control for which the company cannot be held accountable.

Force Majeure

No liability is accepted for failure of performance due to any other circumstances outside the control of The Last Word.
